Today is a whopper of a stout from Parallel 49 called Please Sir S’more Stout, complete with a great little picture on the label envoking Oliver Twist. This is a big alcohol laden stout at 10 % abv.
Taste wise I’m not quite tasting all the promised aspects of a smore. It is however full of flavour starting with a massive dose of burnt malt that is very reminiscent of sitting around the campfire, with a wave of strong alcohol flavour ending a little sweet to maybe be marshmallows? mostly this tastes like a milk stout with a lot of booze in it. Lots of fun to drink during winter, good sipper, but you are not buying three of these to drink at poker. Maybe one and then brag about it.
7.5 out of 10, it is big and bold.
