Parallel 49 is on the train stop again today and it is the first lager on the route? I think so. Can’t remember I’ve had 16 beers already 🙂 I’m not generally a lager fan, I find them bland and reminiscent of all the terrible beers made by the commercial breweries of the world. This one however is not so bad, in fact pretty good.
It starts out very plain and watery but quickly transitions to a somewhat thick feeling, hoppy tasting brew with a nice amount of sweet malts. It tastes a lot more like a pale ale over a lager the difference being the smooth and creaminess of the mouth feel coming from it being a lager. I shall buy a 6 pack of this for the summer drinking months for sure. Glad to have discovered a beer I would have avoided if out at the brewery itself.
7 out 10.
